The Finnish Spitz is another breed that does not have a great predisposition to develop a degenerative disease. Some have been diagnosed with diabetes, but we must remember that this is a disease that is easy to prevent and control.

In rare cases they have been diagnosed with hip dysplasia and shaker syndrome. The average life expectancy of the Finnish Spitz is 12 – 14 years.
