The coat of the breed is short and accordingly easy to groom: Brush the coat once a week. Let your puppy get used to this ritual – most dogs enjoy the caressing strokes. You should only bathe your companion in an absolute emergency and with a mild dog shampoo because the skin flora of short-haired breeds regenerates only slowly.
